Printers and the change of seasons Static buildup in office equipment is a concern with the change of seasons. This is because air in heated rooms can become quite dry and the turning on the AC or Heat may bring a drastic change in humidity levels. Many printer manuals indicate 20% to 80% relative humidity as being acceptable for printing, but 40% to 60% may be more accurate. If in doubt, get a humidifier or dehumidifier.

Be sure to clean the area surrounding the printers with a vacuum regularly. This will keep dust away from ventilation fans and your printer will keep on happily working.
